Step 2 - Pre-op & Surgery Schedule
Once you and Dr. Miller have decided
on a tentative surgical plan, Dr. Miller’s Patient Care
Consultant & Coordinator Gina, will help you to coordinate
all of your travel and surgical plans, and assist you
with any accommodations as
well. A deposit for your surgery will be required to
secure your pre-operative and surgical dates. The balance will be
collected at your pre-operative visit. We accept personal
checks and VISA and MasterCard credit cards.
Step 2A - Pre-operative Visit
Your first day's visit with Dr. Miller
in our office will cover your getting aquainted, physical health and history and your surgical examination.
Pre-operative and post-operative forms, instructions, and consent forms will be reviewed over the phone approximately 2-3 weeks prior to surgery with Dr. Miller's head nurse and OR Manager, Olivia. Your Surgery Travel Program Packet will contain copies of surgical consents (to be reviewed then and signed at the office), pre-operative and post-operative forms and instructions, as well as accommodations information and attractions information. Please review this packet in it's entirety and bring with you to your appointments.
We schedule
ample time for first day's visit so that all questions and concerns can be answered.
Step 2B - Surgical Visit
The next day your surgery will be performed at the Miller Cosmetic Surgery Center,
located within our offices. We have a private waiting area for our surgical patients and their family members. Click here for more on Our Center.
Step 2C - Post-operative Visits and Recovery
Surgery Travel Program patients must plan on staying in the San Diego area for approximately 7 -10 days or longer. The complexities of each patient's surgery will determine this time frame. Dr. Miller will discuss with you during your Virtual Consultation what time frame he expects you to be here for your recovery so you can plan accordingly. Your post-operative appointments will be condensed into the required time frame while you are here in San Diego. Dr. Miller may refer you to a local physician to continue your post-operative care once you return home. Dr. Miller and staff will continue to care for you upon your return home and be in constant contact with you through-out your recovery.
